Wonky Spirals meets Savannah!

Hello there! I'm excited to be part of Tammy Silvers' Savannah Blog Hop today. Tammy's Savannah collection with Island Batik was inspired by the architecture and ironwork details of one of her favorite Georgia cities, and you'll love how that translates into fabric.

I fell in love with the colors and motifs in her Savannah fabric line when I first saw them, and now that I have the fabrics in hand, I can guarantee that they're even more mouth watering in person.

Let's get right to the quilt, shall we?
I chose to use a dark background and sew my Wonky Spirals quilt, using all the lighter, brighter colors as spirals that would pop with the contrast.
Get the pattern here.

The Wonky Spirals pattern uses improv log cabin techniques, and each block turns out unique, which I love. Adding sashing and borders in the background color makes the spirals look like they're floating.

This rainbow-y print is one of my favorites!

Aren't those colors vibrant?!

Just for fun, I played around with the fabrics and a few other patterns.
Here's my Ebb & Flow quilt, using a lighter background.

And Twister. This quilt feels like rainbow sherbet to me. :)

Make sure you visit all the other stops on this blog hop - there's so much quilty inspiration!

Peacock Plumes Virtual Blog Hop

Hello! It's my day on the Peacock Plumes Virtual Blog Hop, and I'm excited to share how Tammy's fabric collection looks in a few of my quilt patterns.

These Island Batik fabrics have such a fun fall vibe--perfect for the season.

I used the full collection in my On the Go quilt--pairing the batiks with white helps the colors to really pop!

Purchase the On the Go pattern here.

I'm a teal girl at heart, so I knew I wanted to use a limited color palette of mostly teals in one design. Here's Ribbon Weave, a wall hanging/table topper, in all its teal glory.

Purchase the Ribbon Weave pattern here.

Swirls, anyone? The That's a Swirl applique quilt is packed with design appeal, and pairing the batiks with solid black enhances the contrast. This quilt is all about the cutting--the only piecing is sewing the blocks together. Fusible web does the rest.

Purchase the That's a Swirl quilt pattern here.

When I first saw Tammy's Peacock Plumes fabric, I knew immediately that I wanted to audition them in my Frequency quilt pattern. I had so much fun, I couldn't decide which to share, so I'm showing them all to you!
